SALSA....either u luv it or u dunt....
tonite was fantastic .... the dance floor at union square amara hotel was not too packed and it was a beginner's heaven... not to many "advance" dancers.... there were four gals to four guys.... equal numbers for the first time...
the gals: Ellen, Sharon, Joyce and Mingli (well Saulin came later but she never really say hi though.....)
the guys: Joe, Leonard, Sonny and Me ( of cos there is my Japan Group Tour fren Kenneth who later danced for a while and also Patric, Joyce's SIA-pilot to be boyfren who just came back from Australia)
Some might say we lack lustre and experience when we dance ... and not much patterns and styles but i think we did great today... i believe in 1st steps..... and we had alot of 1st steps so far.......
Joining Salsa class is a 1st
completing the class in another
getting together at the dance hall is another 1st
and dancing without guidance is definitely a 1st.....
i think we all enjoyed ourselves although the initial few minutes is awkward as we are thrown into an unfamiliar environment..... but as we adapt by taking the first steps, we sort of find ways to fit in .... maybe not as well but in our own special ways we did enjoy the whole ordeal... haaa ordeal seems pretty harsh....
Well at least i get to know more people and more about the people i got to know all at the same time.... and i also got to know myself more.... that i have actually moved or in the process of moving into another phase of my life.... something which i have been shelving constantly ... but no longer... i have grown up... mentally....IQ n hopefully EQ too...
Life is really short especially if you just sit around and procrastinate... the least we can do is to make it fruitful ... that is what i believe for now...
